Galaxy23 Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Hello,I was topping up oil level on my galaxy this morning and noticed some beige coloured sludge deposit on the oil filler cap. Is this normal or is it a sign of something more sinister going on? There appears to be no water in the oil or vice versa Thanks, Paul Quote
sparky Paul Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Could just be a bit on condensation building up in the oil. Does the car do a lot of short journeys? Quote

Jayton Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 That's your problem then. Short trips = 'mayo' under the filler cap. Take it for a long run and you'll most likely find none under the cap afterwards. Quote
